Intelligent Men less likely to Have Impotence, Study Finds

It might appear a little hassle-free originating from a group of highly educated researchers.

But researchers now say that geeks make better romantic partners than any muscle-bound meathead.

In a new research study, researchers from Oakland University claim that intelligent men have much better relationship outcomes and are less most likely to be violent towards their partners.

And, in excellent news for nerds, the scientists even declare that smarter men are less likely to experience erectile dysfunction.

The researchers checked the intelligence of men in heterosexual relationships and then surveyed them for a variety of different positive or negative relationship characteristics.

They discovered that cognitive skills which support impulse control, problem-solving, and thinking of consequences all add to much healthier relationships.

On the other hand, males with lower intelligence are more prone to insulting their partners, sexual coercion, controlling behaviour, and erectile dysfunction.

Most worryingly, the data suggests that men with lower basic intelligence are more most likely to have demented tendencies.

Higher levels of intelligence are related to a range of positive results ranging from greater typical earnings to increased life span.

Additionally, more recent research study has revealed that some specific cognitive skills like problem-solving help partners navigate possible difficulties within their relationships.

However, Dr Gavin Vance and his colleagues at Oakland University claim that there has been much less research study into how general intelligence affects relationship results.

General intelligence, unlike your educational level or particular abilities, refers to a blended set of cognitive capabilities consisting of working memory, spatial reasoning, and quantitative reasoning.

To get more information, the scientists recruited 202 guys who had actually remained in heterosexual relationships for at least 6 months.

The men were assigned a series of tasks to test their analytical and abstract reasoning abilities.

They were then given surveys to measure elements of their relationships varying from the frequency of unfavorable behaviours to relationship investment and complete satisfaction.

These tests exposed that general intelligence was significantly associated with more positive behaviours and less negative behaviours in romantic relationships.

The research study discovered that guys who scored badly on tests for basic intelligence were more likely to experience erectile dysfunction and to display negative behaviour towards their partner (stock image)
